White Mountains for Fall colors, The Kanacamagus Highway, Route 2 Gotham through Jefferson Heights, Route 302 over Crawford Notch,
or Pinkham Notch.
The White Mountains region is easily worth a few days. Not just great fall color, but numerous waterfalls, good moose-viewing,
Loons Red Fox, Deer, Bald Eagles and Covered Bridges.
In Sandwich there is a great shot of the refection of the church steeple in
a pond behind the town hall.
Gilmore is also a good place to explore. The town is the original Peyton Place.
Pittsburg area is very beautiful it is by Connecticut Lake. 4-5 miles north of Pittsburg are known as moose alley; and if you drive along the road early morning and late afternoon, you are almost guaranteed to see moose. It is
also worth getting
onto some of the dirt side roads, good possibility for other wildlife. One nice drive is the East Inlet, which is a few miles
North of Pittsburg.
Mount Washington has some good locations for pictures.
