Welcome to the State of Kansas

Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge is not far from Emporia, Kansas, a 100 southwest of Kansas City.

Smithville about 30-35 miles north of Kansas City, northeast of the town of Smithville has some photo opportunities for birds.  Like Canadian Geese, Blue Herons and on occasion Bald.

There is always many places along the Mississippi River.

Arikaree Breaks: Located in the northwest corner of the state, in Cheyenne County, northeast of St. Francis. This is an area of highly eroded lands provide very nice photo opportunities. This is sometimes called Grand Canyon of Kansas.

Castle RockChalk Pyramids , and Monument Rocks: Rocky white formations, which are photogenic at sunrise and sunset. Located just east off US83, south of Oakley in Gove County.

Gypsum Hills just west of Medicine Lodge.

St. Francis take scenic drive to Arikaree Breaks, nice fields of sunflowers

Monument rocks on highway 83 between Oakley and Scott City. At the sign turn east on Jayhawk road for 4 miles then turn south for 2 miles.
