Corkscrew Sanctuary Swamp and the lettuce lakes area has some good opportunities for birds.
Fort Myers beach has some great birding photography. In down town Fort Meyers there is Venice Rookery that is good for birds in Feb. and March. In march there will be babies.
The Florida Keys have some possibilities for architecture and portrait of unique things.
St. Marks, Appalachicola NF,
Green Swamp
Cedar Key has a lot of fishing boats and also there is dolphins in the sound.
Manatee Springs State Park.
The 1st Magnitude spring on the Suwanee River.
The Sunken Gardens in St Petersburg. Lots of plants,flowers and birds to photograph.
Everglades National Park.
Shark Valley 8:30 opening park outside and walk in early north end of the park. Great for baby birds Feb- mid March. Tamiami Trail is always good.
The Anhing trail.
Parking Area by Clyde Butcher gallery has a pond that has alligators and birds. There is also a trail in the back of the Gallery that goes out into the swamp.

Fort DeSoto great for birds on the west end.
Sanibel along the causeway, at the fishing pier and blind pass.
Merritt Island NWR is great for birds.
Ding Darling in the morning for birds best mid Feb.. It opens at 7:30 but is closed on Fridays. Get in line early to drive there.
Alligator alley Mid Feb good for birds.
St. Augustine and Castillo De San Marcos have some old Spanish forts.
St Augustine Alligator Farm, get the photographers pass and you can get in early and stay late. So tips might let you stay later.
Big Cypress Swamp has another nice board walk where you can get into the natural habitat.
Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island and Ft.Clinch.
Tampa Lowery Park Zoo and Big Cat Rescue (Expensive photo tours).
Gator land in Orlando has some wildlife to photograph.
Gainesville has another nature habitat area called Payne's Prairie. Also natural springs areas for something totally different.
Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park.
The Ringling Museum.
Marie Selby gardens are fantastic.
Cortez has an old fishing village which is great to photograph.
Myakka State Park is wonderful for bird life and alligators. Sandhill cranes babies appear in March.
Lido Beach is great and they have guided kayak tours through the mangrove trees.

Babcock Webb Wildlife Management Area near Punta Gorda long lens for ospreys, eagles and lots of wading birds. Deer are common and many songbirds and of course being Florida...lots of alligators. From I-75, take exit 158 east 1/4 mile to the entrance.
Lakes Park Fort Myers description of location: Best early and late in day for birding. Birds roost here at night. Park has restrooms, boat rental, playground. Just west of 41 Hwy on Gladiolus. great eat at Bahama Breeze on 41.
