MonumentValley some part are only accessable by guides.

The Apache Trail. Goes through the Superstition Mountains and along the lakes outside of Phoenix. there are lots of trailheads in the area, especially in the Superstition Mountains. You can do the Apache Trail from Apache Junction to Globe, there is lots of desert scenery as well as lake scenery.

Globe is an old mining town with some buildings that may be interesting to photograph. Return via US 60 which goes through Miami and Superior, also old mining towns. There is a campground Oak Flat Campground past the campground on the mining road is some wonderful rock formations and rock climbing spots. Apache Leap is a formation of rocks spires along the escarpment to the west of this area as well.

Boyce Thompson Arboretum, very interesting displays of desert flora.
