Beartooth scenic
highway has many photo locations.
Elk will be all over town at Mammoth Springs.
Glacier National
Park has many places to photograph. The park
you can divide into east and west
using the going to
the Sun road to get between the
sides. East side check
out Two Medicine, Many Glaciers, Waterton
Park, and St. Mary lake area don't
forget Wild Goose Island on St. Mary lake, you can access that viewpoint from the east.
On the west side Lake McDonald, Avalanche Creek. The "Trail of the Cedars" is in the Avalanche Creek area and is a great photo area, hike to Avalanche Lake. Hidden Lake
is also a great hike. There are lots of pull-offs along the west side of the "Going
to the Sun" road. North Fork area is
has alot of wildlife.
Jackson Glacier Overlook, Wild goose Island viewpoint, Sun
Point, Virgina Falls, Lunch Creek in the morning, and hike
the Iceberg Trail to Iceberg Lake. Swiftcurrent Pass trail,
and Grinnell Glacier, Lake McDonald (both ends, morning,
evening) if no or little wind is present nice reflection
shots, stones in the water near shore can be colorful, you
can work the boat docks and old busses around there as well,
heading to the Going to the sun road at the end of lake
McDonald you will see that falls and river (overcast best)
just prior to the going to the sun road gate (if the road is closed the gate will be to)
Makoshika State Park
Medicine Rocks State Park
Terry Badlands along the Yellowstone River has some nice Pyramid-shaped rocks, it is located outside of Terry, Montana
Missouri Breaks take the drive on
highway 543 from Jordon to
Hell Creek State Park.

Fort Peck Lake
Capitol Rock a badland
